The long overdue August 2024 feature update for Azure Stack HCI 22H2 is now available! But don’t run out and try to install it right away. Here are the things you need to know first.
- This feature update is only the first part of your upgrade journey to 23H2. You will still need to pass validation and install a solution upgrade (yet to be released).
- These upgrades will not automatically “project” and “hydrate” your existing VMs into Azure Portal via Arc Resource Bridge (ARB). That will have to be done manually after upgrades and at a later date.
- Validation will fail if you are running preview workloads and must be uninstalled (early versions of VM Self Service or AKS Hybrid).
- This starts the clock on 22H2 end-Of-service date, which is currently February 2025!
