Two weeks ago, the XCES team packed its bags to participate at the Nordic Infrastructure Conference (NIC) at the Oslo Spektrum.
It was the 7th edition of the conference, dedicated to teaching IT best practices to IT professionals and decision makers. Over 2000 attendees got to hear from some of the best speakers in the world.
This year’s conference theme was “Future Now,” with the goal to make sure that attendees are armed with the knowledge to make decisions for the future. This would be a perfect event to showcase DataON and Windows Server hyper-converged infrastructure solutions.
Live Demo – DataON S2D-5212i with MUST visibility and management tool
At the booth we showcased the new DataON S2D-5212i, a hyper-converged cluster infrastructure built to optimize the full stack of Storage Spaces Direct. The S2D-5212i has the latest Intel Xeon Scalable processors with Intel C620 chipsets and all-flash Intel Optane or NVMe SSDs to achieve over 3.2M IOPS in a 4-node cluster.
Attendees also got to see DataON’s MUST (Management Utility Software Tool) tool on the S2D-5212i. MUST makes it easy to monitor and manage Windows Server software-defined storage and is the first tool to provide SAN-like monitoring features for Windows Server SDS.
A Deep Dive into Storage Spaces Direct with Jan-Tore Pedersen
Our friend, Jan-Tore, presented a deep dive on Storage Spaces Direct, with insight into installing, patching, troubleshooting and monitoring Storage Spaces Direct.
He also shared what’s coming in the near future with Project Honolulu. If you’re not familiar with Project Honolulu, it’s a browser-based management tool that enables on-premises administration of Windows Server. Its intended to be complementary to System Center and Operations Management Suite.
DataON MUST will have complete integration with Project Honolulu, providing DataON customers the most a premium visibility, management and monitoring experience for Windows Server 2016 SDDC environments.
