Built-in security and compliance
Microsoft has committed to investing $20 billion in cybersecurity over five years. It also employs more than 8,500 security and threat intelligence experts across 77 countries. Azure has one of the largest compliance certification portfolios in the industry.
Azure Local pricing
Azure Local is priced on a per physical core basis on your on-premises machines. Or if you are a Windows Server Datacenter customer with active Software Assurance, you may also choose to exchange core licenses to activate Azure Hybrid Benefit, which waives the Azure Local host service fee and Windows Server subscription.
Leading in cloud-to-edge innovations
Gartner placed Microsoft Furthest in Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure.
“With a proven track record and a deep understanding of the requirements of this market, Microsoft stands out as a reputable DHI provider that offers a range of public cloud services and on-premises data center solutions.”
Cloud-to-edge services work better together
Use Azure Local with other Azure services to build comprehensive hybrid solutions.
Azure Virtual Desktop
Deploy Azure Virtual Desktop session hosts on Azure Local infrastructure and manage them from the Azure portal.
Containers
Run Azure Kubernetes Service on-premises. It automates running containerized applications at scale and makes it quicker to get started hosting Linux and Windows containers.
